I Agree! AJA was the second album I ever bought... in 6th grade. Still one of my favorites of all time! Inspired me to start the Yosemite Marching Band. Google it...

The middle background singer is Carolyn Leonhart.
She is a hell of a good jazz singer -- search YouTube.

I was 12 years old when AJA was released into radio stations,that sound just knocked me down and made me wanna be a musician!Thank you Donald and Walter for the inspiration!Thank god for Steely Dan! PEACE!

The black back up singer is hella fine. I pulled up an album last night on Zune and my girlfriend saw their pic and was like, "I don't want to listen to two old guys!" and then I started playing Black Cow and she was shocked at the sound. Oh yeah, they got it.

Wow,its refreshing to see an "old act" keep their sound over the years. The great thing about Steely Dan music really is they dont look out of place and time performing. They have aged well and vocals sound like they could be 20 years younger. Impressed! |
