How much would it cost if I wanted to go on the vomit comet? Is it open to public usage? Or just to training and corporate days?

My ex-brother in-law use to be the Project Manager for the original Vomit Comet...I'm not sure, but wasn't that back in the 60's?

Funny thing is that NASA replaced the 135 with a plane that is too small for astronauts to stand upright in a space suit. So... They actually lease time in this 727.

This plane actually flies cargo during most of it's flights. The rubberized deck is only put in on their occasional zero-G flights. It's a great idea, and makes it actually affordable for the common person.

The legendary KC-135 has been retired. This video was filmed upon a Boeing 727-200, newly equiped with zero-g enhancements. It turns out that they didn't need to do much. Oil pressure enhancements and a G-meter, but the existing commercial plane could do the rest. Commercial airliners are well built to handle these types of forces.
