my free will was what led me to watch this. now my free will wished i did something else. also notice the religious reference at the very end. sneaky yet shameful. where is the logic in that?

We do indeed have free will and need to develop the discipline to harness it. We have free will over our actions, beliefs, reactions, feelings, thoughts, attitudes, emotions, and behaviors. Most people are energetically repressed and emotionally wounded and are therefore unconscious and more reactive. This is not a yes or no question. Many things are determined and are outside of our control. Here we must learn what we have power over and what we are powerless to affect or change.

absolute rubbish!! no human has freewill - it's a myth. the ability to 'choose' environments as an act of freewill is no real argument as if we do 'choose' our environs then they are based on our preferences/likes/dislikes etc. if we like warm weather we may go live in warmer climates or decide to hang out with people we get on with. therefore i dunno what he talks about having only one aspect of freewill when really we don't have any at all

I understand the need to exercise personal freedom. It's so precious :) and to respect the choices of others.
It's time to get off soapbox for a while!! Nuff said!
Will be resting in a place of freedom and safety-the Dreamtime.xx

Perhaps it does all come back to the nature/nurture debate. It's certainly worth a thought.
The right books, the right friends, the right teacher-sound advice! I've always been very grateful for all of these things and the support that I've been shown across the board;
I always try to thank people for this, gifts are always spontaneous things. I get them as well-without planning or preparation.They just happen!!

Any attempts to influence,control others or to remove the will of others are totally unacceptable.
This is something that I feel very strongly about. I'm all for freedom of speech;
But to attempt to control another is a fruitless exercise. It could only result in unhappiness and false emotions. It's unkind and cruel.
Perhaps this is where intuition comes into play. I'm not sure.

Sometimes it is healthier(and safer!) to stay within our comfort zones, if it means choosing to stay away from negativity.
Doing this contains our 'power',our self esteem,self confidence and general sense of self preservation.
Even though there may be physical restraints, both literally and metaphorically, our minds and hearts are always free.
Of course, emotions and intuition can be factored in here. We are human!

Do we have free will? I think that the key here is 'choice'. We can all choose to surround ourselves in a positive,healthy environment to a certain extent (although not in situations like war,natural disaster etc)I do, and I try not to give my 'power away' toexternal influences as much as poss. |
