This is a modular origami stellated icosahedron. Icosahedra have 20 faces, multiplied by 3 for the stellation. Each module forms 2 faces, so 60 / 2 gives 30 modules.

So, how do you get the paper to start with: It must be cut to some proportion. Or, are you saying that origami must be made from one piece of paper and not assembled? I only wish to learn. Most interesting though. Thanks for the post and the comments.

yes he did cut but i dont think that should count as ruining origami he just needed smaller paper so.....ya great video
