I'm loving this song more than his cover of Hallelujah. (Personaly, my favorite version of Hallelujah is the one by Rufus Wainwright).

How is it ridiculous? He stripped the song down to the bone and rebuilt it in his own image. He did that with every song he covered. I say he re-wrote, meaning that it sounds like a completely original song. The music is his. The lyrics, merely, are Cohen's.
