Timeless, classic and will last forever, quality always done, be it Laurel and Hardy or Abba.

L&H seems to work well with this particular tune. I think Genesis or Queen (They had a HUGE variety of styles) might help a bit more :) Just some friendly advice.

I remember a few years ago my partner's nephew was here and I was watching Laurel and Hardy and he had never heard of them.
within minutes he was in tears laughing the film was Busy Bodies

Does anybody know if the region 2 version of the laurel and hardy collection vol. 2 (blue 1) featuring the fox comedies is in colour?

Hard boiled eggs and nuts.

The really only particularly funny part is when they're dancing to the music. The other parts are, well, "cute"-ish, but not exactly funny.
It's really up to parents to introduce their kids to the masters of entertainment. My 6 year old knows L&H well, as the Stooges and the Little Rascals. Obviously, she loves them, but if I didn't make a point of it, she'd never know who they were.

Yes: Versus (Vs.) usually refers to a battle or fight, so I agree with your comment.
It may have started with pop music remixes. Like Eminem Vs. Fatboy Slim... that sort of thing.
As for Laurel and Hardy, they were sublime comedians. They should be well known to every age; as should W.C. Fields, Charlie Chaplin, The Marx Brothers. Why they aren't on TV anymore is a shame.
(Don't know if L&H work well with these Abba tunes, but that's a matter of taste.) |
