It's a sort of Jewish wide boy Cockney accent and that Jews are known for being able to make money almost out of anything. Hope that's not too un PC for you all.

October 9, 2008 on Italys Lake of Como, eighty Barclays bankers and clients gathered together in the storied Villa Erba to celebrate with their fiddles as Rome continued burning around them. And while the paparazzi wary bankers spent two days and 700,000 Euros, the British Prime Minister traveled across Britain to sell his rescue package to hardworking British voters....WTF..go here for more info...

What characteristics in these are Jewish? I saw that mentioned somewhere else and I was wondering.
Would you point them out to me?

.. as I was saying:
These commercials were shot in and around Dublin as Sellers was limited in the amount of time he could spend in the UK as a tax exile.
Locations include the Phoenix Park, Castletown House and Maynooth college.
It was during this period that he suffered the cardiac episode which presaged his subsequent demise in London.

These commercials were indeed shown at the time and I can remember them going out. The jewish characterisation by today's standards is hugely un-pc and I'm amzed they were getting away with it so late in the day.
Having said that, Sellers is so completely into his work and not in the least walking the role just so he can pick up his cheque.
There's a precision of character that goes right back to Fred Kite and makes you want to erase the later Panther movies.
TBC ...
