Jars of Clay are a christian Rock group. Check out their other stuff, not bad. This is a touching and beautiful song. Really gets to me as sometimes i feel that way. Funny that alot of people didn't realize that the lyrics of this song is about him in dispair and asking for God's help.

You are correct on many levels. I subscribe to the 'last vestige of a scroundrel is religion'. I do not buy it and do not want it. However, I know many good people that are Christians and I will lay my life down for them. No questions asked.

im sorry you cant handle the truth...religion creates fear and homicidal retribution for scriptures forged by a very sadistic author...its a scheme designed to control society and make society not question what they see around them...i am fond of my earthly companionship with everyone...i just strongly believe in opposing such an active force such as religion for it offers no feasable plan for proggresion in humanity just to stare blinded at the sky

How should we live our lifes? For Good or Evil? If Good, what defines that? Where does good come from? If Evil, well then nothing can be evil, because there is no moral compass to base it on. What sdaniellet is getting to is, that Jesus Christ is Good, Loving, Merciful, and did every thing he did for our sins. God isn't some Giant that wants to punsh you. Hell was created for satan n the fallen angles. That's why Jesus died for your sins, so that you could have everlasting life with him.
