Make a Jam Jar Jet - Make: Magazine Video Podcast

Ukulele Videos

To celebrate Weekend Projects' one year birthday, I ate a cupcake and made a jam jar jet! Inspired by Bill Gurstelle's awesome instructions in Make: Volume 5, this thing is a real pulse jet inside a jam jar! Make sure to download the pdf that goes along with this podcast at makezine.com/podcast!

good point- tempering... It makes the object brittle.

i wouldn't put it in a freezer before hand.... glass can handle heat. but when you freeze it then expose it to a lot of heat, the glass will have a greater chance of breaking because the size change in the glass will be greater

Nice questions! You do need the diffuser... you can't use it for much practical use unless you needed something to be REALLY loud!
