Aesop Rock, Cage, Sage Francis, Talib Kweli, Common, Brother Ali, Slug, Murs, P.O.S., Immortal Technique, El-P. If you want more let me know, there are literally tons that are about as famous if not a little less famous than k-os. Look, I love k-os...he is awesome, but it gets pretty old coming to a k-os video and seeing the same "canadian mcs rule american mcs suck" crap in the comments. That isn't even close to the message of his music and the people that think it is are missing the point.

yea man for sure...the only one i can think of from the states would be lupe...kind of a different vibe than k-os but its still music with meaning...

Yea right!!! I had listen too much gansta rap last time!!! Finally, recently i found the real old school hip hop!!!!

that's the straight up truth...one reason is it was created here... and big companies saw it as away to control youth and let the bad stuff of rap be on media.. and not the good stuff... like they know since they have been there since day one ... but they dont care since they know the youth is to busy trying to be cool and get laid... so they keep pushing Gangsta rap to be on the media ... and let very few real hip hop on the media...
