Holy Friggin Synthesizer heaven ! This is all too much ! All those legends together, jamming with all that legendary equipment, making the legendary 80's sounds i love ! Thomas Dolby gave it away though, when he was suppose to be triggering samples on the 606. Watch carefully.

deb, you're probably right. It's still nice to listen to, though. ^^

Hate to burst your bubbles, but as awesome as this "performance" was, it was TOTALLY pre-recorded, except for vocals. At around the same time, MTV (or some other network, can't remember) produced a show similar to "punked", where one episode featured Herbie Hancock in his own studio being tricked into believing there was a one-second dropout on a 24-track master. The recording in question was this performance, with ALL parts present, being recorded for the Grammys.

A live performance? Nowhere cables plugged in, the Synths itself does't produce their specific Sounds or produce sampling sounds hwre they shouldn't. Sry, this was (technically seen) -never- live.

nah, it's either a 606 or 707. it's missing a row of buttons to be a 303
