Maybe he's tuned by ear and is a semitone sharp. There isn't another instrument in this clip.Or maybe he plays with a singer who sings in Bb so he's tuned up half a stop cos it's easier to play in the open A possition. It might even be to accomodate the pitch limitations of his own voice. I don't know, maybe the clip itself is to fast and the pitch is raised as a result. Just guessing but I hope this is helpful.

Did anyone check the key?
On my Tele tuned to concert pitch Jerry is in Bb. Tuning up to Bb makes any kind of string bending much more difficult. There is no vocal here. It makes no sense to play the claw in Bb.Can anyone shed some light on this?

Shred? Not sure I know what that means. Is that some sort of cereal? You should check out Jerry playing with the Hellecasters....3 divos making space for each other is out of this world

Amazing technique.Every note as sweet as a nut.Has he got some sort of affiliation with Seymour Duncan?.....just a guess. Not so sure about the wood being the be all and end all though. His picking skills would get THAT sound out of pretty much any electric guitar set up right. Responses welcomed

Magnificent. He makes it talk and sing so beautifully it'd put the best vocalist to shame. |
