Taking place toward the end of World War II in Japan, Grave of the Fireflies is the poignant tale of the relationship between two orphaned children, Seita (清太) and his younger sister Setsuko (節子). The children lose their mother in the firebombing of Kobe, and their father in service to the Imperial Japanese Navy, and as a result they are forced to try to survive amidst widespread famine and the callous indifference of their countrymen (some of whom are their own extended family members). I cried just from watching this AMV! Dear God this is a beautiful Movie! I actually felt their pain! I burst into tears when the little boy died!

I just found out today, that this was a semi-atoubiographical anime...I teared up, because it is hard enought to handle their death in a movie, but thinking about it in real life hurts... This was a very well made video! You're right, the song fits perfectly

Thanks to Studio Ghibli I've met some real genuine and wonderful people and I want to keep all my memories from the Ghibli masterpieces! Thank U all so much! that argument destroys itself. You say that as long as there is free will people will always make war, but if that is a rule of human behavior then there is no free will, since we are destined to do something no matter what is our will.

I cried so much when I watched 'Grave of the Fireflies' T___T It's a great movie but I don't want to watch it again *sniff*
