May the Universe bless you with health and wisdom to continue this brilliant and humane action.

Just to clarify, Buffett did NOT give 30 Billion dollars to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He is going to give 30 Billion dollars worth of Berkshire Hathaway Class A shares. There IS a big difference. He also did not give it to the foundation all on that day, he is giving it in increments. This is just another way of the Media trying to make Democrats (and Buffett is a democrat) sound like they are the greatest people in the world. Fuck democrats and everyone that is not upper class.

You obviously misunderstood me. Sorry about that, what I meant is that the best system we have is capitalism. BUT I don't believe a pure system works because huge inequalities occur and eventually a pure capitalist system kills itself. Capitalism in my opinion should be a partnership between stakeholders with cooperation and honesty as the ultimate goal for businesses. My examples would be Wholefoods and Apple. SOOOOO my hero is Andrew Carnegie > Gordon Gecko

HUman greed is widening the gap between the poor and the rich in the US to an alarming level. Part of the US population now lives like in the third world, and that's the result of the ownership culture. What Buffet and Bill are doing is not out of greed. They are grown up men who made their fortune and must find a way to redistribute it in the best possible way. If Gordon Gecko is your hero you've got a lot to learn and unlearn. Good luck!

If I recall correctly from my MBA class, he left 5 million to each of his 3 kids and gave the rest for philanthropy.

Using human greed is the best way to help bring world out of poverty. If you think otherwise then your living in a fantasy world. Good job Warren, Bill and Belinda on your work and achievements.

BUffet left "only" 1 billion of his fortune to his kids. He thought having more is a liability.
