I don't think Nicholson was robbed at all. While this is my favorite movie - by far - I think Adrien Brody was absolutely amazing in The Pianist and deserved that Oscar just as much. Nicholson was amazing in this movie and deserved and Oscar, but so did Brody.

Yes - and he was bloody robbed. THAT'S how it was under-rated.

What a great and touching movie. Touching, but not sentimental. Very Hollywood-unlike by the way, which I appreciate much. And Jack does a great job too, so authentic.
I just hope I'm not going to end like him. No wife, no children who care, no buddies, no friends. One of the best scenes for me is in the other campers' motorhome. How this scene turns out in the end is just tragic and shows how superficial this world and people really are.

..."hope things are fine with you"... this is the driest, darkest comedy ever made... i dont think that most people realize how cynical the humor of the film is.

The ending is the best and saddest ever. It's not included here? jeez, what were you thinking??

I love this movie. Thanks for posting. My favorite scene is at the wedding when Jack talks about how he "really feels" on mic to the crowd.
"That item you showed me was so very artistic". I love from that speech to the end. Always gets me laughing then crying.

you should include the letter at the end, the scene without it is unbalanced.
