I get the privilege of playing Martha for my Senior Recital that I'm putting on with 3 other people...this movie is wonderful, I just hope I can do it justice

Its interesting that when Warner Bros first bought rights to the play Bette Davis and James Mason were first choice to play Martha and George. Imagine Bette imitating Bette!

Ugh, such an unflinching look at an unhappily married couple that are alcoholics trying to survive with one another in close quarters.
This movie could easily have been a documentary.
One of the most disturbingly real movies I've ever seen. And definitely one of the best I've had the pleasure of seeing.
I need a drink.
