thats funny cuz ive actually seen an interview on here with him saying that he had heard about "some band called smashing pumpkins that are around the same age as i was when we started nirvana and they deserve to be big" and he went on to talk aabout how record labels always try to get whats the new soudn on their labels.

I'm currently reading a book about Kurt Cobain, and it quoted him as saying that one of the reasons why he felt bad about his success was that he knew there were way better bands out there. Case and point; The Smashing Pumpkins.
