You can't speak Anglo-Saxon or Middle English...or even our root language: West Germanic The truth is, American English is far more diversified because we are much more multi-cultural here. We Americans are Brits, French, German, etc., transplanted from all over the world. To hate us is to hate yourselves. And if we hadn't bailed you out in World Wars 1 & 2, you'd be speaking German today.

It couldn't be that "Great" in Britain when the Clash and other bands do "Rock Against Racism" tours in England. The United States abolished slavery in less than 100 years. How long did it take England? How long did England take dumps on Ireland? Why did England try to suppress the formation of U.S. colonies? Nothing to do with Asia? What about British East India?

Talk about a devoted band. My dad was caught sneaking into one of their shows as a kid. The security guards were about to throw him and his friends out of the venue before Joe Strummer stopped him. He even signed their program cards. My dad still has it around, somewhere.
