Start with the Blues instructionals; then you won't have to mess with so many tunings. I gave up tuning to different keys so I just keep several ukus lying around with set tunings. Have fun.

Okay...I've put off getting your book for too long uncle! No money, so gotta decide between getting Blues instructional and Slack Key instructional DVDs to learn guitar from. (con't)

Workshops go in 12 week cycles. But it would be best to get the book and follow the video tutorials because that's what the workshop is all about. Plus EHCC charges $100 for members and $120 for nonmembers. So better to buy the $18.95 book in my opinion. I'll let you know when it gets published. Right now I use an author's proof for the workshops.

Are you planning to have any workshops in late summer? My brother lives in Hilo, so it would be great to visit him and attend your workshop.

Okay keonepax. I will let you know. It is going through galley proof production right now. If you live in Hilo my next slack key workshop starts April 28 at East Hawaii Cultural Center on Kalakaua Street. The book (copy of author's manuscript) is free to workshop participants.
