actually ur thinkin of the flash back to before cloud joins shinra. when he makes the promise to tifa that he will save her if she is ever in a tight spot.
and ur thinking of the different flashbaks from when he has the mako poisoning. where it shows him of different ages

how did cloud and tifa meet?
he grew up with her
how did tifa and zack meet?
there was a mission to nibelheim, zack and sephiroth went and they met (they even took a pic together)
doesn't cloud sound like tidus from final fantasy x-2?
