I am going to see Neil for the first time in Toronto next month with my 20 year old son. He is one of only a few artists that appeals to so many. The first album I ever bought was After the Gold Rush and I was hooked. The man is a legend.

He was born November 12th 1945, which makes him 63 years old. Back in 1971, on January 19th when this was recorded (the audio at least, the video is from January 22nd) he was 25 years old, but he wrote the song in the fall of 1970, at which time he was 24. Ironically, by the first time he performed it, on 1970-11-30 the lyrics were already no longer correct...
Either that, or he couldn't find anything that rhymed with 25 in the way he liked.
