They arent vampires or warewolves exactly, they are rebel programs like the ghosts and such, but the only things we can easily compare them to are warewolves and vampires, the hints are just proving they are rebel programs with wicked powers as stated earlier in the movie by the oracle. So they could be vampire warewolves for all we know. But they totally get owned by Neo. For he is the man. :)

I don't think they are vampires, I think they are just exiles. I mean sure, he had to stab their hearts with sharp blades, but still, vampires in the matrix just doesn't seem to fit.
