Oh, Help Me Ukulele UkesterBrown

Ukulele Videos

I was digging around in the back of my mind the other day and I found this old dusty trunk and I opened it. Mixed in with a bunch of junky Babe Roth baseball cards and a really weird looking "steamboa twilly" toy was some cool old sheet music. This one had a two-color picture in navy and peach of a Dapper Dan man with his right hand raised and his left hand on an ukulele like it was a Bible. The song was written in MMIX with words and music by U.Brown and D.J. Remiger. It says "A big new hit from tin-can alley". You be the judge. I'll dig through the trunk and see if there are anymore good ones. I play it on a "new" orange patterned Maccaferri Islander ukulele. StrumMN is one of our local ukulele clubs: http://strummn.nexo.com/ Free practice sheet at www.ukesterbrown.weebly.com .

@halcyonuke The Gerald Ross "magic" C6 chord is: string one and three at fret seven, string two and four at fret five

I can never remember that magic C6 chord - and I can't quite make it out from the video. (And I told myself "Don't forget this," when G.R. demonstrated the chord. Oh, the shame..... Help!

I think the lyrics are fantastic, Dave. You have obviously absorbed the best of the tin pan alley days. Love your uke, too.

The shirt is a very limited edition - only two made like this one. The new ones say "StrumMN ukulele players" The one I'm wearing says "StrumMN my ukulele". Brian our group founder has the other one. He had them made for us when we went to last years Windy City Uke Fest.
